I've seen some golf balls that are Matte material. I am talking about the external (exterior) finish. I was wondering if this type of ball produce any difference on the coure? Does it hold the green better than normal finishes?
You'd have to look up some real world tests with spred sheet datas but I've tried some and haven't seen any noticable differences.
I do notice a little bit of improvement in terms of holding the green if you compare it to budget balls. But it might just be imaginary. Like the guy above said, you'll really have to see a spread sheet data of the robot hitting it.
But if you do want to get the best performace on the green though, just go for the Pro-V1 or other premium balls.
