Halo News : Halo TV Series is Coming to Paramount!

Good news for all Halo fans out there. The universe is getting even bigger and is going to be made into a TV series!

It was first announced by Halo’s developer 343 Industries that showtime has ordered a 10 episode season for a show based on the extremely popular game.

Now when the news first announced many fans suspected that the series would be created using CGI the way the Star Wars Clone Wars was. But NO! The series would indeed be live action!

The cast that has been announced as of today includes Pablo Schreiber from Orange Is the New Black as Master Chief. And yes he probably will be taking his helmet off from time to time so you should be able to see his face. Other announced casts are Yerin Ha, Natascha McElhone, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Bentley Kalu, and Natasha Culzac.

Filming has in fact already started! Actually it started in October 2019 and the product cost is 40 million us dollars. So we should be seeing some amazing stuff in terms of production with that sort of money!

Now the other part of this news is that the show will no longer be airing on Show Time but will now be going to Paramount Plus. So I guess it’s time to get a subscription to yet another streaming service but that is the fact of life in this day and age I guess.

In terms of storyline, little is known at this point. But we do know that the master cheif will be the main lead. The story will also be a totally new event that hasn’t been touched upon in the game and that same canon material may be incorporated as well.

The show will be produced by Showtime, 343 Industries and Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television.

Considering how good and popular the Halo game franchise is, the TV series has a lot to live up to for sure and here’s to hoping that the show will be just as great as the game!
